If you should choose to issue us a key be assured that we take every measure protect your key. Your key will never be labeled in any identifiable way.

Do I need to provide you with supplies?
No, we use our own supplies and equipment. Our cleaning professionals are thoroughly trained in the use of our supplies to insure your house is left absolutely clean.

Do I need to supply my own cleaning products and equipment?

It is not necessary to supply your own cleaning products and equipment. However, if you request that we clean with your supplies we will gladly do so.

Do you charge a lock out fee?
Yes, if the cleaning crew arrives to your home and we are not able to clean for any reason, you will be charged a $25 lock out/turn away fee to pay for their gas, mileage, and time they took to get to your home. However, we do not charge a rescheduling fee so please call us ahead of time if changes with your cleaning are needed.

Do your workers accept tips?
Yes they do! Although our teams always strive to do their best, tips are highly appreciated by the crew.

How can I be sure my home will be safe if I’m not there?
Our maids have all been trained on safety and follow strict guidelines at each visit. Each of our employees also undergo a local criminal background check before they are hired.

How do I pay you?
We accept cash and checks. You can make checks payable to: SIGA, LLC. Please put all cash and checks in a sealed envelope to ensure your security and privacy. Please let us know if you would like for us to provide you with envelopes.

How long does each cleaning typically take?

Of course it depends on the size of your home and it’s current state, but it typically takes longer for an initial visit then for the reoccurring maintenance visits.  Based on an average home size of 2100 square feet, most first time cleanups can take 2 to 3.5 hours, and recurring maintenance visits approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours.

I noticed that you charge a little more than my old cleaning lady. Why is that?

As a professional cleaning company, we have gone to great lengths to protect you, our client, from the hassles that can go along with using a cleaning service. We have done this by being bonded, doing extensive research on products, and filing all applicable state and local taxes. Taking these important steps is our way of making sure that your home is protected from damage and you are protected from the IRS. Did you know that if a cleaning service is not properly reporting taxes the IRS can come after you, the homeowner? We do report and pay all of our taxes and in the end that benefits you. In addition, you can be sure that we won´t use a product that will ruin any material in your home. Be sure and protect yourself by making sure that the cleaning service you use has taken these precautions. It will be well worth it even if it means paying a little extra.

Is it okay to leave instructions on a note?
Of course it is! We believe that good communication is crucial to maintaining a good business relationship. We welcome all feedback and if there is anything we can do to help you, please let us know.

The team that cleans my house is doing a fabulous job, who should I tell?
Your friends and family! We´ll even give you a discount for every recurring cleaning customer you send our way. You can also submit feedback directly to our office using our grading form.

What do I do if I have an alarm system?
You can either leave it off on your cleaning day, or you can assign a code to Louisiana Maids which we will store in a password protected file.

What happens if your employee gets hurt at my home?
Louisiana Maids carries liability insurance for all employees which covers medical bills in the event of an on the job injury.

What if I find a problem with the service?
Every cleaning has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied, let us know within 24 hours and a manager will return to your home and personally address the problem. However, we do not guarantee cleanings where our supplies are not used.

What if someone is injured while cleaning my home?

If you use a reputable well-run professional service, they will carry worker’s compensation insurance. State of Louisiana requires businesses to carry this coverage when there are a certain number of employees. It varies from state to state on the required number. Even if the service uses independent contractors, they are still required to carry workers comp. If they do not carry workers comp or you have an individual cleaning your home and there is an injury, you will be held liable for the injuries.

What time will Louisiana Maids be at my home?

Typically we do our cleaning between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. However, in depending on your location we may be able to provide you with house cleaning service outside of these hours. In regards to our actual arrival time on the day of your cleaning, we will provide you with a two hour window due to the fact that New Orleans area traffic can cause fluctuations in travel time.

Who will clean my home?
A team of two or three employees will be cleaning your home.

Will I have the same maids at every visit?
Most likely. Since most of our clients request recurring weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and other intervals, we tend to create a set schedule for each of our maids based on their route or daily geographical location.  This allows for better time management since travel time between homes are shorter.  Also allows us to arrive at home on time, know our way around it and to understand your specific needs.
