I was very pleased with the work. I would have them on a regular basis.

Cleaning Blinds

Cleaning your blinds may seem like a hard task, but don´t stress out! Depending on your type of blinds, it can be extremely easy and quick. Below you will find tips and advice for each type of blind. Be it wood, aluminum, or fabric blinds, you´ll have them dust free in no time.

Aluminum Blinds
Aluminum blinds are by far the easiest type to clean. If you want a quick simple way to clean them, you can start with the vacuum cleaner. Most vacuum cleaners come with an attachment that allows for a brush to be put on the end. Add that attachment, and go over each blade individually. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes less difficult. Dusting is another easy alternative. You can use chemicals on them as well, but it´s always recommended that you consult with the manufacturer before doing so. Simply take a dust brush and go over each blind. If you´re handy, the easiest way is to simply place the blinds in a bath tub full of warm matter. You can also add soap to the bath as well. Be sure to use hot or cold water, never hot.

Fabric Shades
Fabric shades require very little maintenance. Modern day shades are made to resist static. In doing so, dust is naturally repelled; thus keeping the blinds clean. To dust, you can take a damp rag and go over them lightly. If you encounter a stain on it, you can use warm later and soap to remove it. Alternatively you can use the brush on your vacuum to do a quick and easy job.

Wood Shades
Wooden shades are by far the trickiest to clean. Most of them are treated to resist waters, but nothing is guaranteed. To quickly dust, you can again use the vacuum attachment to remove the filth. It´s not recommended to use water, because water is wood´s worst enemy. You should see what the manufacture directions are for your particular brand. However, the vacuum attachment should do a thorough enough job.

Tips and Tricks
A good tip for any type of cleaning is when in doubt, do a sample. Try the treatment you´re about to use on a test spot that will not be seen. Dab it on the shade in a corner or the back side. Somewhere that won´t be seen if the treatment in question leaves a stain, or worse.
